Got to Start Somewhere!

So it begins! I’ve thought about starting up a blog for some time, but never have taken got it going. Hopefully I'll keep posting to it now that it is created!

I guess a little introduction is also in order: My name is Mike Erickson. I've worked professionally in software design, development and architecture for the past 19 years after earning a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I have worked in several industries and have spent the past 10+ years consulting. I currently work for a large international corporation, but spent the first 7 ½ years consulting as an independent.

For most of the past 14 years I have focused mainly on Microsoft technologies. I hold my MCP, MCAD, MCSD, MCSD.NET and MCT certifications – hopefully I will soon be an MCPD as well! A few years back I got my SCJP, but I have let that expire. I also earned my CTT+ a few years back.

I hope that we can have an enjoyable journey together as we all teach and learn on this blog - so as they say at the amusement parks - keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times, hold on and have fun!
